NATURE-BASED PROGRAMMING THROUGHOUT THE SEASONS
School vacation is a great time to be at Sylvester Manor! Our “Bach Breaks” run during the Shelter Island School District school breaks during December, February and April. Sign your child up today to experience a dynamic, science-based, re-wilding curriculum, created in the spirit of kindness and compassion for the children of our changing world.
All sessions will thread the music of Bach through the week, noticing the inspiration from the natural world in a musical representation of seasons. Children will create artwork, hear stories, design puppets, make animal dens, plant seedlings and more, all while developing a connection from the forest and farm to the rest of the world.
April 22-26: The Goldberg Variations
The program runs from 10:00am–2:00pm, for children ages 5-10 years old and you can sign up by the day or by the week. All programs are based in our outdoor campus, so please dress your child accordingly. In the event of severe weather, there is an indoor location that will be used. Year-round, Shelter Island resident children are provided a 50% discounted rate.
• Daily rate for April is $150/day (non-resident) / $75/day (full-time resident)
• Weekly rate for April is $660/week (non-resident) / $330/week (full-time resident)
