The James Hunter Six returns with their new album, OFF THE FENCE, delivering another dose of timeless rhythm & soul. British singer, songwriter and GRAMMY-nominated James Hunter has been a legendary fixture in the scene for over three decades with his gritty voice and sharp songwriting earning him acclaim around the world. This new record features a rare duet with longtime collaborator Van Morrison (‘Ain’t That A Trip’), marking a full-circle moment for the artist hailed by MOJO magazine as “The United Kingdom’s Greatest Soul Singer.”

Hunter and his six-piece band have toured the world for decades from tiny clubs to large festivals, with Hunter also sharing the stage to support legends including Mavis Staples, Aretha Franklin, BB King, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, and Van Morrison. Whether belting out up-tempo R&B or crafting candle-lit ballads, James Hunter is a must-see artist who effortlessly draws from the depths of his musical well, leaving audiences captivated and craving more.

Set for release January 16th, ‘Off The Fence’ is a landmark album for James Hunter himself for a number of different reasons. In many ways it represents his past, his present and his future. Opener: New Moon Acoustic Blues

New Moon Acoustic Blues is a high energy traditional blues outfit led by guitarist and singer Karl Schwarz. The band performs all manner of Acoustic Blues typified by artists such as the Reverend Gary Davis, Robert Johnson and RL Burnside. Joining Karl on stage, his good friend and harmonica player, David A. Barnes, of James Blood Ulmer’s Memphis Blood. New Moon Acoustic Blues never fails to resurrect on stage the powerful feelings of Hill Country, Delta and Piedmont Blues.

About our Creekside Concerts:

Sylvester Manor Creekside Concerts are rain or shine outdoor events* so bring a beach chair or blanket. Camp chairs are also welcome but must sit toward the back to not block the view of your fellow concertgoers. Gates will open at 4:00 pm. Children under 9 are free and do not require a ticket for entry. Insect and tick repellent are suggested. No pets are allowed at the concert.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Additionally, there will be a food truck and wine and beer available to attendees over the age of 21.
