Virginia Gerardi

Office/Facilities Support

Equally comfortable behind a computer keyboard as she is handling power tools or corralling chickens, Ginny describes herself as Sylvester Manor’s “Gal Friday with a toolbelt.”

Originally hired as an office assistant in the summer of 2018, Ginny’s role has grown from performing regular administrative tasks in the office to providing clerical and logistical support to the staff in almost all areas of the organization. 

Ginny draws upon training and past work experience in practical matters like animal husbandry, graphic design, woodworking, and sign building, to trouble- shoot and find solutions for any issues in the facilities as they arise. 

In 2021 Ginny joined the House Preservation Committee and will be assuming the additional role of Contractor Liaison and Documentarian for the Manor House preservation project as it unfolds.

With roots on Long Island’s north shore, Ginny is still fascinated by all things natural and nautical. Acutely aware of the importance of nature in our day to day lives, she marched in the very first Earth Day and continues to advocate for sustainable living and development.
