Lydia joins the team from the sunny deserts of New Mexico. Lydia is a senior at Cornell University studying hotel administration and will be starting her final semester this fall. She has spent the past five months living in Seville, Spain learning about Spanish cuisine and the Mediterranean diet pattern. This experience, coupled with university horticulture classes and culinary coursework have given Lydia a passion for the agrotourism industry and the farm-to-table movement. She desires to one day combine her love of hospitality with her love of agriculture by opening a farm inn and restaurant. She believes that the best way to serve others is to break bread from one’s own bounty with them. She is excited to gain the first stepping stones to achieving her goals while WWOOFing at Sylvester Manor.
