Karl Schwarz, of New Moon Acoustic Blues Band, is a traditionally based blues singer and guitarist residing in New York city with roots around the Western Hemisphere.
New Moon Acoustic Blues Band performs traditional and original blues music of the south created in a time when music was one of few reliefs from work, sickness, mistreatment, and racism. In the songs of people of southern black America, New Moon brings the high energy, emotion and feeling of the song’s intention. The band performs and tells stories of the times that brought us labor strikes, unions, industrial development, public housing and continued hope albeit treacherous odds.
With a unique sense of style and rhythm, New Moon reintroduces traditional blues in an exciting manor that reinvigorates the blues to a modern audience.
